As a Group Life Claims Leader, you’ll take ownership of a high-impact leadership role within ART Life Operations. You’ll guide an end-to-end claims team to deliver a holistic, member-focused claims experience that supports recovery, return to work, and improved wellbeing. You’ll play a critical role in driving best practice claims management, ensuring decisions align with policies, regulatory requirements and our broader commitment to supporting members. This is your chance to lead a team through continuous improvement, uplift capability, and influence strategic outcomes across the claims function. This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. Responsibilities Day to day, you'll: Lead and mentor an end-to-end claims team to deliver strong member and business outcomes. Make and review complex claims decisions in line with policy, delegation, and regulatory frameworks. Coach and develop team capability to enhance technical expertise and service delivery. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to identify development needs and uplift capability. Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance. Partner with stakeholders to improve member outcomes and claims processes. Lead change initiatives and support team alignment through transformation. Analyse performance data and trends to inform decisions and improvements. Manage risk and ensure compliance across claims activities. Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: You bring extensive experience in claims management, including complex case assessment. Your knowledge of group insurance and regulatory requirements is highly developed. You'll have proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams. You're confident interpreting policy, legislation, and contractual obligations. You have a strong track record of improving service quality, efficiency, and outcomes. Your ability to analyse data and identify trends supports better decision making. You'll demonstrate a flexible coaching style that brings out the best in others. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and resolving complex challenges. You may hold a tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline.
