We’re looking for a Yardperson to join our team in Melbourne, supporting our Vermeer operations in a Branch Operations Support capacity. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll work across multiple departments to keep the branch running smoothly Why RDO Equipment? Work with people who connect, collaborate, and make an impact together Real career pathways and leadership development Work with leading global brands — Vermeer Access to the latest diagnostic technology and equipment in a clean, safe, and well-equipped workshop We celebrate wins, support each other, and build careers that matter What You’ll Be Doing As a Yardperson, you will: Manage the inward and outward movement of machines Receive, unload and receipt all machines and attachments Maintain accurate stock control in line with company systems and procedures Present and detail machinery to a high standard for display and delivery Keep the yard clean, organised and safe, including maintaining grounds and arranging the showroom Support the service department by loading and unloading plant, arranging machines within the workshop, and coordinating waste facilities Assist with parts and warehouse operations, including delivering high-priority parts to technicians, supporting large deliveries, and providing coverage during staff leave Provide support to the sales team with machine movements, new equipment deliveries, and whole goods stocktake Carry out general maintenance, handyman tasks, and minor facility repairs that do not require qualified tradespersons Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential) Strong warehousing experience with an understanding of heavy equipment Safety-focused with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset Reliable team player who takes ownership and delivers results Physically fit with the ability to work in a hands-on yard environment Good attention to detail and organisational skills Willingness to learn, adapt and grow within the role Who is RDO?
