Our Lending Assessment team plays a critical role in balancing strong customer outcomes with responsible credit decision-making. We operate at the centre of lending excellence—supporting sustainable growth while ensuring every decision aligns with our credit risk appetite and regulatory obligations. As a Broker Lending Specialist , you’ll be responsible for managing broker-originated lending applications end-to-end. From submission through to formal approval, you’ll own the journey, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and a consistently high standard of broker communication. This is a fast-paced, detail-focused role where your ability to interpret credit policy, manage competing priorities, and build strong broker relationships will directly influence positive lending outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include: • Managing broker loan applications from submission through to formal approval, ensuring SLA adherence. • Provide clear, timely, and professional updates to mortgage brokers throughout the application lifestyle. • Work collaboratively with Broker Support and Credit Assessment teams to delivery strong customer outcomes. • Apply credit, compliance, and NCCP requirements with accuracy and confidence in all decision-making. • Provide constructive feedback to Business Development Managers on broker submission quality and trends. About you: You are a detail-driven lending professional who thrives in a structured, compliance-focused environment where accuracy and communication matter. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: • Strong experience in broker lending, credit processing, or loan assessment within financial services. • A solid understanding of real estate lending practices and end-to-end loan workflows. • Demonstrated ability to operate confidently within credit policy and risk frameworks. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders. • Confidence using loan origination systems and financial services platforms. • A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
