A mid-sized creative agency is seeking a conceptual yet hands-on Art Director for a 6-month contract to cover parental leave, starting as soon as possible. The role will lead brand and campaign creative for fast-moving FMCG, telco and consumer clients, from big ideas through to final delivery. Success in this position means pairing strong conceptual thinking with meticulous craft, thriving in rapid-turnaround environments and collaborating closely with a vibrant creative team. There is potential for extension depending on upcoming project wins and client needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop insight-led, campaignable concepts for brand and integrated campaigns across FMCG, telco and consumer clients. Translate ideas into clear visual territories, mood boards, layouts and design systems suitable for multi-channel execution. Create and refine high-quality presentation decks and pitch materials that clearly communicate creative ideas and rationales. Oversee the end-to-end creative process from ideation and scamping through to final design and production handover. Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, production managers and account service to deliver cohesive, on-brief work. Provide creative direction, guidance and feedback to midweight and senior designers to elevate the standard of output. Liaise with production, studio and external suppliers to ensure accurate, technically sound and timely delivery of assets. Manage multiple projects with fast turnarounds, prioritising effectively and maintaining quality under pressure. Requirements: 5–7 years’ experience in a creative, design or advertising agency in an Art Director or closely related creative role. Proven experience delivering brand and campaign work, ideally across FMCG, telco or other high-volume consumer categories. A strong portfolio demonstrating big conceptual thinking and high-quality visual craft across integrated campaigns. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and competency in presentation tools (e.g. Keynote or PowerPoint). Experience taking work from concept through to execution, including scamping, layout, design refinement and production-ready files. Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and short turnaround times. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative ideas to internal stakeholders.
