Description and Requirements A Web Page Speed Optimization Engineer maximizes website performance, focusing on fast loading times, enhanced user experience (UX), and high Google Core Web Vitals scores. They analyze bottlenecks, optimize images, minify CSS/JS, and configure server caching to improve SEO rankings and increase conversion rates. Core Responsibilities & Techniques Core Web Vitals (CWV) Improvement: Optimizing Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). Code Optimization: Minifying and removing unused JavaScript and CSS. Asset Optimization: Compressing and resizing images, utilizing modern formats (WebP/AVIF), and lazy loading. Server & Caching Strategy: Implementing server-side caching (e.g., Apache/NGINX tweaks) and leveraging Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). Audit & Reporting: Utilizing tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and Lighthouse to diagnose and verify speed improvements. Core Technical Skills Frontend Proficiency: Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to remove unused code, minify assets, and optimize critical rendering paths.
