We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our fleet operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high service standards. Position Overview The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operational performance of the company’s vehicle fleet. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills to ensure vehicles, drivers, and logistics operations are managed effectively and in compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations & Maintenance Organise the acquisition, registration, maintenance, and servicing of company vehicles and equipment. Monitor vehicle performance and schedule preventative maintenance programs. Ensure fleet availability and operational readiness at all times. Manage fuel usage and implement cost-effective fleet management strategies. Logistics Coordination Coordinate transportation schedules and vehicle allocations to maximise efficiency. Manage bookings, dispatch operations, and delivery schedules. Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods and services. Monitor transportation activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Client & Stakeholder Management Liaise with clients regarding transportation and logistics requirements. Provide recommendations on vehicle selection, fleet utilisation, and transportation solutions. Address client concerns and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all relevant transport, road safety, and workplace health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance, and compliance documentation. Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures. Reporting & Administration Maintain detailed records of fleet activities, expenses, and operational performance. Prepare operational reports and management summaries. Monitor budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Skills & Experience Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Fleet Management, Transport Operations, Logistics Coordination, or a similar role. Strong understanding of transport and logistics operations. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience using fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications. Qualifications Relevant AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
