Job Description The Payroll Officer will be responsible for: End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls across a large employee base Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records including onboarding, terminations, and contractual changes Perform complex payroll calculations including overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation, and long service leave obligations Manage termination calculations with accuracy and attention to detail Act as a key point of contact for employee payroll enquiries, delivering a high level of customer service Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliations, and data integrity The Successful Applicant The successful Payroll Officer should have: Proven experience as a Payroll Officer within a medium to large organisation Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax requirements, and compliance frameworks Demonstrated experience with end-to-end payroll processing in complex environments Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads and tight deadlines Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex payroll queries and discrepancies Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business A proactive, team-orientated approach with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively What's on Offer A competitive salary of up to $106,000 including super Hybrid and flexible working arrangements 12 month contract Opportunity to work in a thriving transport & distribution sector.
