Job description Working in a high-volume, trauma-informed setting, you will provide administrative support across the processing of applications for financial assistance relating to sensitive and often distressing circumstances. While the role is primarily administration focused, you will still be exposed to confronting material and will need the ability to manage this professionally and respectfully. About the role You will provide day-to-day administrative support to assist with the assessment and processing of applications. This includes reviewing documentation for completeness, maintaining accurate records, updating systems, preparing correspondence, and liaising with clients and stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner. This role is suited to someone who is organised, compassionate, and able to work in a structured administrative environment supporting people during difficult periods in their lives. This role suits someone who enjoys detailed administration work, can follow processes carefully, and is comfortable working within established guidelines in a fast-paced environment. This assignment is full-time business hours through to 30th September 2026 with view to extension. Key responsibilities Provide administrative support across application processing activities Review documentation and ensure records are complete and accurate Maintain databases, files and case management systems Prepare routine correspondence and documentation Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Support the wider team with general administrative tasks and process coordination Assist with meeting service delivery timeframes and team objectives What we’re looking for Previous administration, customer service or processing experience Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities Professional communication skills, both written and verbal A compassionate, respectful and resilient approach to sensitive work Confidence using computer systems and managing accurate data entry Ability to work both independently and within a team environment Important to know This role involves exposure to traumatic material and sensitive information.
