As a Senior Analyst within the Energy Market Cyber Coordination team, you will support the development and execution of a program of work to enable AEMO to effectively discharge its responsibilities in coordinating with Commonwealth and State government authorities and energy market participants on effective response to cyber security incidents. You will help to enhance the frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets and coordinate cyber security research activities on emerging issues affecting energy grids and markets. Please note that to be eligible for this role you require Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance. What you will be doing Support the delivery of key AEMO initiatives such as cyber security research and advice and information dissemination functions per our obligations under the National Electricity Rules (NER) December 2024 cyber rule change and additional items as required. Maintain contacts and engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia. Assist in the development of supporting materials and presentations. Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives. Support the Manager, Energy Market Cyber Coordination in reporting on progress against initiatives. What you will bring to the role Tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology-related fields, cyber security, energy-related fields. Postgraduate qualifications in Intelligence Analysis, Security Studies, Public Policy, or equivalent analytic discipline will be highly regarded. Experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience and cyber security initiatives is desirable. Demonstrated experience producing written advice and assessments for senior decision‑makers, and experience designing or managing information dissemination products (briefings, portals, advisories). Familiarity with OSINT, horizon scanning, and analytic tradecraft. Strong research skills, including source evaluation and synthesis.
