03rd June, 2026 Our client is delivering a mineral sands mining project in Western Australia and is seeking an experienced E&I Field Engineer to join their site-based team on a casual ongoing basis. E&I Field Engineer DIDO WA Mining Project 2:1 Roster Casual Ongoing Opportunity Competitive Hourly Rate Based on Experience This role is well suited to a hands-on E&I professional who thrives in DIDO site environments and can bridge the gap between engineering, drafting, construction, and commissioning teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring electrical and instrumentation systems are installed safely, accurately, and in line with project and site requirements. About the Role: You will be working as part of the site project team, reporting to the Project Manager / EIC Manager. As the E&I Field Engineer, you will be responsible for: Providing on-site electrical and instrumentation engineering support during construction, installation, and commissioning activities Interpreting E&I design documentation including drawings, cable schedules, loop diagrams, termination diagrams, and datasheets Identifying and resolving design deficiencies, constructability issues, and site clashes Red-lining drawings and coordinating field changes with engineering and drafting teams Updating and maintaining cable schedules, I/O lists, and equipment registers Reviewing revised drawings prior to issue for construction and as-built status Supporting E&I contractors and technicians on-site Verifying installations against drawings, specifications, and relevant standards Assisting with inspections, pre-commissioning, commissioning support, and fault-finding activities Acting as a technical interface between site teams, project engineers, contractors, and vendors Participating in site meetings, technical reviews, and toolbox talks as required What Do You Need to Succeed? Formal education in Electrical and/or Instrumentation systems, such as a trade qualification, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent Demonstrated experience in an E&I field engineering or senior technical role within mining, mineral processing, industrial, energy, or resources environments Experience working on greenfield or brownfield mining projects, ideally within processing plant construction or commissioning environments Strong ability to interpret E&I design documentation and resolve site-based issues Experience red-lining drawings and maintaining project documentation Working knowledge of Australian standards and site safety requirements Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across site teams Australian driver’s licence Ability to complete site mobilisation requirements and commence at short notice Why This Role?
