Alchemy of Hair offers a modern fit-out, quality products and an easy-going fast-paced atmosphere. We are a L’Oréal and Kerastase salon, in which training can be provided. Duties and Responsibilities: • Colours and cut hair. Offer various hairstyles and colours to suit customer needs and their style • Give hair care tips to customers and advise them about the haircut or hairstyle that will suit for them for different occasions and events in their life • Answer any questions that are asked by customers. To solve the problems at their place and give recommendation to customers • Provide cutting and styling services to customers with all the necessary accessories, such as combs, brushes, and other accessories that are needed • Sell hair care products, to showcase the products on customers’ hairdo at their free time off hours like lunch break or during their work time • Regulate-up and maintain hairstyles for all workers, like cutting hair of young girls and boys in order to make it look uniform from all workers there • Stock clients’ hairdo with the products and accessories • Provide hairstyling services to some employees at the company in order to make them look good and beautiful in front of their families • Keep all areas of workshop clean and neat, such as hair washing area, cutting area, and styling area, and stock room • Update clients about hairstyle trends in the world through newsletter or website update • Listen to customer feedback on new hairstyles and colours that they will like to have in their hairdo • Provide haircutting services regardless of the time to all customers for all types of events and occasions like special, prom, wedding, and everyday styles Requirements – Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge – for hairdresser Role The following are major requirements and qualifications commonly set by employers that you may have to satisfy: · Knowledge in hairdressing and hair-care products · Ability to attend to customers and make hairdo for them according to the hair-type of the customers · Experience in high number of hairdressing or styling salon · Must know how to make all hairstyles that are mentioned in the job description and able to give suggestions to customers if they don’t like anything in their hairstyling or they have any other way of wanting it done, so that they would not leave dissatisfied · Have an example hairstyling or hairdo work and presentation skills, which customers will love to see · Ability to manage the haircutting station · Knowledge of the price list is a plus · Good interpersonal skills, communication skill, and customer relation skills is necessary since they must be able to solve customers’ problems immediately, especially if there are special requests · Ability to keep record of stocks available in sales outlets, with their products and accessories available there in order to make their customers happy on any given day or occasion · Knowing the method of calculating prices for different hairdo/cutting styles.
