As our highly valued Commercial Banker based in Brisbane, your role will be to grow and manage a portfolio of small business customers, providing tailored lending solutions and delivering exceptional customer outcomes, supporting our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home. You’ll make an impact by: Building and growing a portfolio of small business customers through proactive relationship management and business development activities Managing lending opportunities from initial enquiry through to settlement, delivering quality credit outcomes and exceptional customer experiences Identifying customer needs and providing tailored lending solutions that support business growth while maintaining strong risk and compliance standards Developing internal and external referral networks to generate new business opportunities and strengthen market presence Conducting meaningful customer conversations, analysing financial information and preparing high-quality credit submissions Contributing to the growth of our Business Bank through lead generation, customer acquisition and retention initiatives To succeed in this role, you will have: Experience in commercial or business lending, including originating and managing lending opportunities Strong capability in analysing financial statements and assessing business lending applications Demonstrated experience preparing credit submissions and applying lending policy with sound risk judgement A proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify new business opportunities Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Retail home lending experience will be highly regarded RG146 accreditation, Cert IV in Banking or relevant business qualifications will be advantageous Why Great Southern Bank?
