Civil Engineer – Project Manager | Sunshine Coast | A Team Worth Joining About the role Nine months ago, this Sunshine Coast office didn't exist. Today, a strong team is taking shape — with a respected lead engineer on board who is well-connected in the local urban development market, committed clients, and a workbook that's building strongly. The foundations are solid — and now they're ready for the next person to grow with them. This is still an early opportunity, but you won't be walking into uncertainty. The groundwork has been laid, the relationships are forming, and the projects are real. What's on offer is the chance to join at the right moment — early enough to shape something, with enough momentum behind it that you can hit the ground running. About the business This privately owned SEQ consultancy has been shaping the region for over 50 years. They're known by developers for quality, not price — and that reputation has earned them long-term partnerships with some of Australia's most respected names in property. What makes them different is how they develop their people. Directors remain hands-on and accessible. There are no layers of hierarchy to navigate. You learn directly from people who are respected in the industry, while being trusted with real ownership of projects and relationships. What you'll be doing This is a hybrid technical and project coordination role suited to an intermediate engineer ready to step into a more influential position. You'll be: Working directly with a Director and senior engineer on major master-planned community projects Liaising with councils, developers, and key stakeholders Preparing applications, coordinating approvals, and progressing designs Contributing to civil infrastructure design using established best-practice methodologies Supporting and mentoring junior team members Building your own client relationships and professional profile in the SEQ development market The kind of engineer who fits You're 4–8 years into your career and you're ready to do more than execute. You want proximity to decision-making. You want to build influence alongside technical skill. You want to work with people who are genuinely respected in the industry — and be trusted to hold your own alongside them. You communicate well with clients and councils, you take quality seriously, and you're motivated by ownership — not just activity.
