Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: 1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. 2. Laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on material, using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or using templates. 3. Set up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. 4. Trims, files, grinds, buffs, and smooth surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools. 5. Welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds component parts to assemble products, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. 6. Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices. 7. Install, maintain, repair and service electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial environments. 2. Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and problem solving on electrical systems and equipment. 3. Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and applicable codes. 4. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications and technical documentation. 5. Install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, motors and associated electrical components. 6. Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. 7. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and maintenance requirements. 8. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing equipment including voltmeters, ohmmeters and oscilloscopes. 9.
