About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager – MIS WA, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage all aspects of project execution from tender handover through to commissioning and final close-out. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and will oversee commercial, operational, safety, and quality outcomes across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from award through execution, commissioning, and handover Oversee project budgets, forecasting, reporting, and commercial outcomes Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and sequencing Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, machining, construction, and commissioning activities Administer contracts, variations, extensions of time, and claims Lead project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, client specifications, and HSQE requirements Drive a strong safety culture across all project activities Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and delivery excellence Mentor and lead project engineers, supervisors, and site personnel About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience managing projects within a fabrication and machining workshop environment Demonstrated delivery experience involving: Pressure vessels Pressure piping and piping spools Heat exchangers Structural and mechanical assemblies Machined components and assemblies Strong understanding of workshop-based project delivery, including fabrication sequencing, machining constraints, material traceability, and site integration Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, progress reporting, and cost control Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, quality systems, and client specifications Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound delivery-focused decisions Current Australian Driver’s Licence Desirable Qualifications & Experience Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline Experience within mining, industrial, oil & gas, or heavy engineering sectors Experience managing client-facing fabrication or pressure equipment projects Familiarity with ITPs, MDRs, and pressure equipment documentation requirements Why Join Ahrens?
