Job Summary Own the day-to-day flow of goods across a busy, highly regulated Richlands site and take the pressure off laboratory and operational teams. Benefits Get real exposure to fast-moving, regulated logistics including domestic and international shipping, courier coordination, and accurate documentation (including potential radioactive materials handling in their packaging) Own the receiving and internal distribution process for laboratory and workplace supplies, reducing admin load across reception and multiple research teams Create efficiencies across procurement and purchasing, including opportunities to help standardise ordering, centralise inventory, and set up an online request process Work closely with engineering and multiple R&D teams where a large portion of the outgoing freight originates, so your coordination directly affects turnaround times Flexible coverage across the day – start time between 7am – 9am Key Responsibilities Coordinate incoming deliveries, couriers, and freight into the Richlands site, including getting goods to the right teams across the lab and workplace areas Manage outgoing shipments and courier activities, including international shipping for operational and laboratory items, ensuring timely dispatch and correct paperwork Support procurement administration by assisting with purchase orders, supplier coordination, invoice processing and order tracking, with a view to reducing reliance on ad hoc purchasing Help set up and maintain a central inventory approach for consumables used by multiple research teams, including monitoring stock and organising storage locations Liaise with scientists, lab ops, engineering, facilities and other stakeholders to streamline ordering, clarify needs, and improve lead times Assist with workplace operations as required, including contractor and visitor coordination and maintaining organised site readiness during refurbishments Requirements Hands-on experience in logistics, operations coordination, inventory, warehouse or workplace support, ideally within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, or a similarly regulated environment Strong attention to detail and a track record of keeping accurate records for deliveries, shipments and documentation Confident communication skills and the ability to coordinate with technical and operational teams without losing momentum Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning procurement or inventory systems quickly Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests across different teams Willingness to be trained for hazardous materials and dangerous goods processes as relevant on site (you may need to support receiving and handling of hazardous goods) Ready to apply?
