As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled Design Drafter to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering design solutions. About the Role The Drafter / Designer is responsible for developing high-quality drawings, designs, and project documentation across a range of EPEC Group projects. This role ensures accuracy, technical compliance, and timely delivery aligned with project and client requirements. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects. Key Responsibilities Technical Design & Delivery Perform detailed drafting and design tasks, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and standards Prepare layouts, sections, and detailed design drawings Assist with design calculations, costing inputs, and engineering support documentation Create reports, plans, and documentation required for project delivery Produce accurate CAD drawings using tools such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Maintain high attention to detail and technical accuracy in all outputs Conduct field inspections and surveys to gather data and validate designs Prepare as-built drawings based on site data and observations Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard Stay current with CAD technologies and industry practices Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate closely with engineers and the broader project team Ensure design documentation aligns with project objectives and engineering intent Communicate clearly with stakeholders to maintain accuracy and consistency Support smooth project coordination and delivery workflows Team Support & Culture Provide high-level drafting support across project teams Contribute to a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team environment Participate in team meetings and activities Build strong professional relationships across the business Provide constructive feedback and support to colleagues Continuous Improvement & Development Stay up to date with industry standards, tools, and technologies Proactively identify and implement improvements Take ownership of ongoing professional development Embrace innovation and change Health, Safety & Wellbeing Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety requirements Identify and report hazards or risks Demonstrate a commitment to personal and team safety Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace culture About You Essential Degree, Diploma, or Cert IV in Engineering / Drafting (or equivalent) 3 years’ experience in civil and/or electrical drafting/design Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation or equivalent) Strong skills in Microsoft Office Understanding of relevant design standards, codes, and regulations Current Class C Driver’s Licence Desirable Experience within the engineering or infrastructure sector Exposure to renewable energy or utilities projects Key Skills Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach Strong organisational and time management skills Why Join EPEC Group?
