Brooks Airways is an exciting addition to the Brooks Group. Brooks Hire has been established for over 45 years and has expanded acquiring a long running CASA approved aviation business with a fleet of Learjet 35’s, King Air B200 and B1900 aircraft running out of our operational base at Jandakot and Ascot providing international, domestic medical air ambulance, air charter and cargo services. As part of our expansion, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Aircraft Ground Support person in a casual capacity. About the role: The Ground Handler role will be responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of ground support services and maintaining a high standard of presentation of the Brooks Fleet of aircraft, vehicles, and ground support equipment. The position will communicate with the flight operations staff, chief pilot, medevac crews and engineering to ensure smooth and efficient operations are maintained. Key Duties and responsibilities include: Performing ground support in dispatch and receipt of flights Provide ground support to aircrew by preparing and securing aircraft, and passenger and freight handling. Operating and driving aircraft ground service equipment Conduct bus transfer as required for crew, passengers, and freight. Perform baggage and passenger including check in. Preparation of manifests, flight documentation, and freight manifests Manual handling of luggage from base to aircraft. Assisting passengers with special requirements to and from the aircraft Comply with Company OH&S policies, site security procedures, and Drug and Alcohol Management Plan Open to flexible work patterns to meet charter and medevac operations To be successful in this role: In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, you will need to demonstrate that you have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to positively contribute to a team environment.
