Our client is a well-established and growing company within the freight forwarding and logistics industry. They are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Mandarin Speaking Customer Service Operator to join their team in Alexandria, NSW. This role is ideal for a candidate with min 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality support to customers and internal stakeholders. You will play an important role in supporting the Operations and Sales teams through professional customer communication, quotation preparation, shipment coordination, and administrative support. Key Responsibilities Provide professional customer service support via phone and email Manage customer enquiries and provide timely updates regarding shipments Prepare quotations for: Air freight Ocean freight International shipments 3PL services Domestic and interstate transport Coordinate with internal operations teams, overseas offices, and external partners Support the Sales team with customer information, presentations, and sales materials Assist with shipment documentation and administrative processes Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems Escalate complex customer enquiries to management when required Assist with reception duties and incoming calls Perform other operational and administrative tasks as required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: mins 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, import/export, or supply chain environments Strong customer service and communication skills Mandarin speaking ability (business-level preferred) Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Experience dealing with customers, suppliers, or overseas stakeholders Experience using CargoWise or similar freight management systems is highly regarded Full working rights in Australia What's on Offer Permanent full-time position Competitive salary of $55,000-$60,000 superannuation (depending on experience) Convenient Alexandria, NSW location Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to develop your career within the freight forwarding and logistics industry Exposure to international logistics operations and customer management If you have freight forwarding or logistics experience and are looking for your next career opportunity in a growing organisation, we would love to hear from you.
