Superfood Farming located at 25 Edgerton Rd, Sundown QLD 4860, is a well-established banana farm located in the heart of Innisfail, Queensland. We are dedicated to producing high-quality bananas while embracing sustainable and efficient farming practices. Our farm is built on a foundation of innovation, environmental care, and dedication to producing healthy, premium crops for the market. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Horticultural Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our banana farming operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities may will include, but are not limited to: Managing and supervising the planting, cultivation, and harvesting of bananas Monitoring crop health, irrigation systems, and soil conditions to ensure optimum growth Overseeing pest, weed, and disease control programs in compliance with agricultural safety standards Inspecting and maintaining farm infrastructure, including irrigation lines, drainage systems, fencing, and machinery Supervising the day-to-day production activities and farm workers, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards Collecting and analyzing production data, including crop yields and growth rates, to improve productivity and efficiency Training and developing farm staff to ensure high standards of farming practices Ensuring farm operations comply with environmental sustainability practices and regulations Skills and Experience : Minimum 1-2 years of experience in horticulture or agricultural management, ideally in banana farming or similar crops Strong knowledge of crop cultivation techniques, irrigation systems, pest control, and farm infrastructure Ability to manage and supervise a team effectively Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions A commitment to sustainability and best farming practices Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with farm workers, suppliers, and management Why Join Superfood Farming?
