HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced APS 6 level Policy Officer to support a high-profile federal government function driving strategic reform across the disability market. About the Role As an APS 6 level Policy Officer , you will play a key role in delivering complex and high-impact policy initiatives aligned to national reform priorities. You will work closely with stakeholders and contribute to policy development, analysis and implementation activities. Contribute to policy reform initiatives to improve outcomes across the disability market Undertake complex policy analysis, development and implementation activities Develop and deliver policy papers, briefings, reports, and presentations Use data, research and technical inputs to inform recommendations and decisions Support and contribute to reform projects and strategic initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Design and support stakeholder engagement activities Work collaboratively within a team to deliver policy outcomes Benefits Competitive pay rate of $60.26 per hour , including casual loading, providing you with financial stability and recognition for your expertise. 12% superannuation to secure your future and support your retirement planning. Demonstrated experience in strategic policy and reform initiatives Experience developing and implementing policy, programs or projects Strong background in analysing data and preparing high-quality policy documents Experience working with or interpreting legislation Exposure to strategic commissioning is highly regarded Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a government audience Strong judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills Proven ability to work collaboratively with limited direction Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships Motivation to improve outcomes within the disability market Desirable: Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of the disability sector Understanding of Commonwealth procurement rules Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN for this Federal Government role.
