About the Position We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role you will be responsible for the following; Oversee kitchen preparation and packing for catering events Plan, organise and coordinate food production for catering events and functions Prepare, cook and present a variety of Italian dishes to a consistently high standard Oversee the preparation of catering menu items, including arancini, meatballs, gnocchi, sauces, and other specialty products Ensure food is prepared, cooked and presented in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, event plans, menus and client requirements Monitor food quality, taste, presentation and portion control throughout all stages of production Coordinate production schedules and kitchen workflow to ensure timely completion of catering orders and event requirements Lead on-site kitchen operations during catering events, including final preparation, cooking, plating and service Maintain quality, consistency and organisation under high-pressure conditions Ensure correct setup, storage and handling of food on-site Coordinate with logistics and FOH to deliver smooth and timely service Adapt quickly to changes and solve operational issues during events About You To be successful in this role, you will have; A Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification; A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the same or similar role Leadership and management skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work autonomously Planning, problem solving and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure Salary If successful, you will be paid a salary of approximately $80,537 per annum.
