SENIOR WOK CHEF East Pavilion | Shoal Bay Country Club East Pavilion is coming to Shoal Bay! Opening in September 2026, East Pavilion is a brand-new, multi-million dollar 220-seat waterfront restaurant within the iconic Shoal Bay Country Club precinct, directly opposite Shoal Bay Beach. Inspired by the port cities and coastlines of Asia, East Pavilion celebrates bold, generous Chinese cooking designed to be shared. Wok-fired dishes, premium produce and genuine hospitality come together in a stunning coastal setting, where two coastlines finally meet at one table. We're building our opening team and looking for an experienced Senior Wok Chef to help bring East Pavilion to life. The Opportunity As Senior Wok Chef, you'll lead the wok section and work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional food quality and consistency. This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new restaurant before opening, work in a brand-new kitchen and help build the team and culture from day one. What You'll Be Doing Lead the wok section during busy lunch and dinner services Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation Support and train chefs in wok technique and section standards Work closely with senior kitchen leaders to prepare and execute service Uphold food safety, hygiene and operational standards What We're Looking For Demonstrated wok experience in a commercial kitchen environment Experience cooking Chinese or South East Asian cuisine Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Positive attitude and a team first approach Why Join East Pavilion?
