This role would suit an operator with hands on sole charge experience in the bulk haulage industry - there's a clear expectation that the operator will ultimately be sole charge for the yard operation. General Duties Primarily loader driver (HL 770 loader) loading Woodchip into company trucks from despatch to customers Assisting site manager with daily maintenance of chipping and screening machines (air blow down filters etc, greasing, general prestart) Capable of being sole charge on site on occasion to despatch trucks etc Very minimal docket work, but certainly capable of receiving dockets and weigh dockets ex drivers, on occasion writing out dockets etc Full-time position, 40 plus hours. Generally, Monday to Friday but may be requirement very occasionally to work a Saturday Ideally, the candidate will hold a Class 4 or 5 licence, allowing flexibility to alternate between dispatch duties and driving trucks from Tirau depot when chip operations are quieter. Capable of being trained to operate chipping machine and excavator on site as back up for current site manager Requirements WTR endorsement - required A minimum of 2-year experience on a 20-tonne front-end loader operator Class 4/5 License ideally and preferable Confident at communicating with drivers and collecting dockets Confident using a phone or tablet to upload and send docket images through to the accounts team accurately and efficiently.
