Maintenance Supervisor Crows Nest QLD, Australia Apply Back to Results Permanent Full-Time OpportunityNFP salary packaging up to $18,549 & 5 weeks annual leaveLead a small team in a supportive, community-focused environmentMaintenance SupervisorCrows Nest Aged CarePermanent Full Time About the role:In this role, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations while working alongside your team to ensure our facilities and grounds are well maintained, compliant, and safe.You’ll bring both leadership and practical expertise, coordinating people, managing priorities, and completing maintenance tasks to a high standard.Every day will bring something different, from shaping hedges to fixing minor repairs, using your practical know‑how to ensure our sites run smoothly and look their best.In this role, you will:Supervise and support Maintenance Officers, workers, contractors, and volunteersProvide guidance, training, and day-to-day leadership to the maintenance teamPlan, allocate, and monitor maintenance tasks to meet operational needsComplete hands-on maintenance and repair work using trade skillsMaintain buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas, including gardens and groundsEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documentedManage contractor engagement and ensure work is completed to standardMaintain accurate records using asset management systemsPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirementsOur ideal candidate has:Relevant trade qualification (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical)Proven experience leading or supervising a teamCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesKnowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or willingness to obtain certification within one monthCurrent driver's licenceSolid experience in a maintenance, handyman, or groundskeeping roleExperience working in the aged care or community services sector (desirable)Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsorImportantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Integrity, Compassion, Excellence and Courage.
