Job Description The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for: Manage the fortnightly payroll cycle across permanent, casual, and contract employees Interpret and apply Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) to ensure correct payment of entitlements and allowances Maintain accurate employee payroll data, including updates to roles, deductions, and classifications Review and validate timesheet data Calculate payroll tax obligations, superannuation, and statutory contributions Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries Partner with internal stakeholders, including site-based teams, to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked Ensure all payroll-related payments (super, PAYG, etc.) are processed accurately and on time The Successful Applicant The successful Payroll Specialist should have: A proven track record in a similar end to end payroll position. Confident in interpreting EBAs and modern awards Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
