The Role We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our growing team and work within a dynamic and high-performing MSP environment. This role will involve supporting a broad range of customers across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and end-user technologies. Key duties will include, but are not limited to: Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365, servers, operating systems, and network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure IT operations for customers. Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve hardware, software, cloud, and network issues to minimise downtime and service disruption. Implement and maintain backup solutions, disaster recovery strategies, and cyber security controls including Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, MFA, and endpoint management. Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and hosted cloud services in line with customer requirements and service agreements. Maintain and update systems, firmware, software, and security configurations to align with best practice and organisational requirements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting across servers, workstations, networks, printers, Wi-Fi, and communication systems, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests. Develop and maintain technical documentation including configurations, procedures, onboarding guides, and security standards. Liaise with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to implement IT solutions, manage escalations, and recommend system improvements and upgrades. Attend customer sites across Geelong, Ballarat, Melbourne, and surrounding areas as required for project delivery, onboarding, and support activities. Key Requirements Minimum 1 years’ experience working as a Systems Administrator, IT Engineer, or similar technical support role. Minimum 1 year of experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, endpoint management, and cybersecurity technologies. Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft Defender is highly regarded. Experience supporting firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi infrastructure, VPNs, and network troubleshooting. Experience with Service Desk ticketing systems and the ability to support L1–L3 technical issues. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MD-102, SC-300, or equivalent are highly regarded. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Current Australian Driver’s Licence required.
