Sydney | Contract Opportunity I'm working with a client undertaking a significant infrastructure security uplift program and they're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support a range of Windows and Linux server initiatives. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable working across both operating systems and has experience delivering security-focused infrastructure projects within enterprise environments. Building and configuring Windows and Linux servers following established standards and procedures Supporting Essential Eight maturity and broader cyber security uplift initiatives Deploying and managing Microsoft Defender across server environments, including Linux Rolling out application control and server hardening solutions across Windows and Linux platforms Working closely with infrastructure, security and project teams to improve server security posture Assisting with operational support, troubleshooting and platform optimisation Strong Systems Administration experience across both Windows and Linux environments Experience supporting Essential Eight maturity programs or security uplift projects Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Exposure to application control technologies and endpoint security tooling Experience building and configuring servers from documented procedures and standards Strong troubleshooting skills and a security-first mindset Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments Exposure to vulnerability remediation programs Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices and hardening frameworks If you're a senior infrastructure professional who enjoys working across both Windows and Linux and wants to contribute to a major security transformation program, I'd love to have a confidential chat.
