About you: As a Training and Safety Coordinator you will have 3yrs experience in Underground Mining including operator competencies Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ( TAE401116 or TAE40122) Manual HR driver’s license Demonstrated hands-on Underground Mining industry experience Demonstrated experience in conducting competency assessments A broad understanding of mining operations, mining methodologies, equipment operation and work health and safety legislation Current first aid and CPR certification Dangerous goods security card (Essential) Working at heights (Essential) Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include drug and alcohol screening Provide a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months. About the role: Conduct hands-on training and competency assessments for Mining Production, Processing, and site-based personnel to enhance workforce capability, improve operational consistency, and support productivity targets Monitor, maintain, and analyse training records and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) data to identify skill gaps and support workforce development initiatives. Facilitate the safe and effective delivery of training programs, ensuring compliance with site inductions, Safe Work Procedures, JHAs, and WPI requirements while reinforcing a strong safety-first culture. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation of employees, communicating progress, competency outcomes, and development opportunities to Supervisors, Foreman's & Project Manager. Ensure training documentation, competency matrices, and trainee time allocations are accurately maintained, enabling effective tracking, reporting, and compliance with organisational requirements Monitor, maintain, and analyse training records and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) data to identify skill gaps and support workforce development initiatives.
