About The Company Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturer with over 50 years' history in the design, fabrication, and supply of industrial products used across Australia and internationally. With in-house manufacturing capabilities spanning precast concrete and composite production, the business maintains full control from design through to delivery, a key differentiator in a competitive market. About The Role We're looking for an experienced Site Manager on a temp to perm basis to lead day-to-day operations at a manufacturing facility in Penrith. You'll take full ownership of production output, safety, quality, and people performance on site, with one Supervisor reporting directly to you and a broader team of up to 20. Key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing the site's production team, including direct oversight of the Supervisor and frontline workforce, to ensure consistent output against production schedules and quality benchmarks. Owning site safety performance — embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring WHS compliance, and driving toward zero-harm outcomes. Managing day-to-day production planning and scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery against customer and project timelines. Maintaining quality control standards in line with certified manufacturing processes and product warranty commitments. Managing rostering, resourcing, and performance management across the team, including coaching and developing the Supervisor. Coordinating with procurement, logistics, and warehousing to maintain stock control and ensure materials are available to meet production demand. Driving continuous improvement initiatives across plant efficiency, waste reduction, and process standardisation. Reporting to senior leadership on site performance, capacity planning, and operational risk. About You You're an experienced manufacturing or production leader who's comfortable being hands-on and knows how to get the best out of a team. You bring genuine credibility on the plant floor and a practical understanding of what it takes to run a site well. You'll likely have: A proven track record in a Site Manager, Production Manager, or Operations Manager role within a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production environment. Demonstrated experience leading teams of a similar size (10-20), including managing through a Supervisor or team leader layer. A strong working knowledge of WHS compliance and a genuine commitment to safety leadership. Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control processes in a manufacturing setting. Experience with precast concrete, composites, or related heavy manufacturing processes is highly regarded, though not essential. Strong communication and people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a practical, straightforward way. A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to identify and implement process efficiencies.
