Blake Oliver Consulting has been engaged to appoint a Senior Account Executive into the Australian business of a globally recognised consulting and technology services firm. This is a senior client-facing sales role focused on the Energy & Utilities sector. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts with room to grow, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Australian market. The role suits someone who understands complex enterprise technology services sales, can build credibility with senior stakeholders, and is comfortable operating across both account development and new logo acquisition. About the role You’ll be responsible for growing relationships across a defined Energy & Utilities portfolio, identifying opportunities to expand existing engagements and building new relationships across the sector. This is not a pure account maintenance role. The business is looking for someone who can open doors, shape conversations, work with internal capability teams, and convert opportunities into meaningful, multi-million dollar engagements. You’ll work closely with pre-sales, delivery and leadership teams to position solutions across areas such as digital transformation, enterprise platforms, cloud, data, managed services and operational technology environments. Key responsibilities Manage and grow relationships across existing Energy & Utilities accounts Identify new business opportunities across the Australian Energy & Utilities market Develop account and territory plans aligned to sector priorities Build senior relationships with CIOs, technology leaders and business stakeholders Work with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape relevant client solutions Lead early-stage opportunity qualification and pursuit strategy Support commercial discussions across complex IT services engagements Build credibility for the firm across the sector and expand market presence Maintain strong customer engagement and support long-term account growth What we’re looking for 12 years’ experience in enterprise technology sales, account management or business development Experience selling IT services, consulting, managed services or digital transformation solutions Strong exposure to the Energy & Utilities sector in Australia Demonstrated ability to build relationships with C-level and senior technology stakeholders A track record of growing existing accounts and developing new business Comfort operating in a large, matrixed consulting or technology services environment Working knowledge of onshore, offshore and global delivery models Ability to work with technical, commercial and delivery teams to shape client outcomes Commercial maturity, strong follow-through and a clear ownership mindset Why apply?
