About the company: Our client is a boutique Commercial real estate agency based in South Melbourne with a growing rent roll. About the role: This is a full-function Trust Accountant position responsible for end-to-end management of the commercial trust account. Key responsibilities include: End-to-end trust accounting including receipts, payments, disbursements and adjustments Daily and monthly reconciliations with variance investigation and audit-ready reporting Landlord statements, tenant ledgers and arrears reporting Supplier invoice processing and payment runs Outgoings budgeting, apportionment and reconciliation Maintenance of tenancy, lease and ownership records Collaboration with property and leasing teams to ensure data accuracy Support with audits, compliance and reporting requirements Continuous improvement of processes and financial workflows About you Minimum 2 years’ trust accounting experience (end-to-end commercial experience ideal; residential considered) Strong understanding of trust accounting legislation, compliance and audit requirements Experience with one or more trust accounting systems such as GOAT or Cirrus8 is highly regarded High level of accuracy with strong reconciliation and analytical skills Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 capability Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Relevant accounting, bookkeeping or real estate qualifications (desirable) What’s on offer $112K total remuneration package (TRP) neg to $100K super Flexibility offered following probation Full ownership of a commercial trust accounting function Strong exposure to commercial property operations Supportive and professional working environment Long-term career opportunity within a reputable agency This position is being handled by Buckmaster Hawkey, call us for a confidential chat on 03 9629 5000 or apply below.
