About Us Willyama Grove is a farming business involved in the production, maintenance and management of agricultural crops. The business requires practical technical support across day-to-day farm operations, crop monitoring, soil and irrigation management, pest and disease control, harvesting, post-harvest handling and quality control. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Technician to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. About the Role The Agricultural Technician will provide technical and practical support to assist with the efficient operation of the farm. The role will involve monitoring crop growth, assessing soil and plant health, assisting with irrigation and fertiliser programs, supporting pest and disease control, collecting farm data, and assisting with harvesting and post-harvest processes to maintain crop quality and productivity. Key Duties and Responsibilities Examine soil, crop and farm conditions to determine effective land use and identify nutrient deficiencies; Assist with planning and implementing planting, fertilising, irrigation, harvesting and post-harvest crop activities; Identify pests, diseases, weeds and other issues affecting crop health and assist with control measures; Monitor crop growth, plant health, water requirements and overall farm productivity; Collect and record farm data relating to irrigation, fertiliser use, chemical applications, crop observations and harvest output; Analyse, sort, grade and check produce to maintain required quality standards; Assist with operating and maintaining irrigation systems, farm machinery and agricultural equipment; Support harvesting, packing, storing and other production processes; Follow workplace health and safety, hygiene, environmental and chemical handling procedures; Provide practical advice and support to farm management on crop production techniques and farm operations. Skills and Experience Required To be considered for this role, applicants must have: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; Relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification; Practical knowledge of crop monitoring, irrigation, soil management and fertiliser application; Experience with pest, weed and disease identification and control; Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery, irrigation systems and agricultural equipment; Understanding of harvest and post-harvest handling processes; Ability to work independently and as part of a farm team in an outdoor farming environment.
