Cloud & Systems Engineer - Infrastructure as Code (Sydney | Hybrid) We're looking for a Cloud & Systems Engineer to join a team working in automation-first, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment. This is not a manual operations role, everything is built, deployed, and supported through code and automation. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE PERMANENT RESIDENTS OF AUSTRALIA MINIMUM. Strong attitude and willingness to learn are key, with training provided to grow into a capable cloud engineering professional within a collaborative team environment. Ideal profile 4 years’ commercial experience in a similar infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering role Experience with AWS, GCP, or hybrid/on-prem environments Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts (IAC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation Exposure to automated deployment pipelines Basic scripting experience with PowerShell or similar Strong interest in cloud engineering, automation, and scalable infrastructure practices Curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow Eagerness to develop into a broader Cloud Engineering role What you'll be doing This team is responsible for delivering infrastructure, applications, and technology platforms that enable the growth, security, and availability of the business. You will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure solutions supporting AI initiatives and enterprise applications. Deploy & maintain infrastructure across AWS, GCP & VMware Troubleshoot & resolve cloud deployment / infrastructure issues across AWS and GCP Contribute to Terraform IaC modules & code standardisation Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Network, Operations & Application teams to deliver secure, scalable & reliable infrastructure solutions Support automated infrastructure delivery through CI/CD pipelines & Infrastructure as Code practices Enhance and optimise existing infrastructure code, scripting, and automation processes The environment - Fully automated, CI/CD-driven infrastructure - Embedded within engineering teams (not siloed ops) - Collaborative work with senior infrastructure and security engineers - Focus on improving automation - not bypassing it Important We're looking for people who have IAC and either GCP or AWS, who understand automation concepts and want to build a career in cloud & infrastructure engineering.
