Heavy Duty Fitter (HD Fitter) - Gold Mine | FIFO Location: WA (FIFO from Perth) Roster: 2:1 / 2:2 (varies by site) Employment Type: Full-time / Casual Industry: Mining - Gold About the Role You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Conduct breakdown repairs in a safe and timely manner Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures Accurately complete maintenance reports and documentation Work collaboratively within a team environment and across Skills & Experience Required Trade qualified Heavy Duty Fitter / Diesel Mechanic Proven experience working on heavy mobile plant (preferably in mining) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to work in remote FIFO environments Tickets & Licences Relevant Trade Certificate (HD Fitter / Diesel Mechanic) Valid Driver's Licence (HR desirable) Working at Heights (preferred) Confined Space (preferred) High Risk Licence (forklift - desirable) What's on Offer Competitive hourly rates super FIFO from Perth Long-term opportunities with potential for permanency Career progression within mining operations
