The Role Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and driver runs Managing and adjusting vehicle bookings through the system Monitoring operational changes and responding to disruptions in real time Liaising with terminals, depots, and internal stakeholders to ensure service requirements are met Tracking fleet movements and making operational adjustments where required Ensuring compliance with relevant transport regulations and operational procedures Maintaining accurate operational records and documentation Supporting the wider operations team to achieve customer delivery expectations About You Previous experience in a Transport Planner, Allocator, Fleet Controller or similar operations role Experience within container transport, wharf cartage, or the broader logistics industry Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick operational decisions Strong attention to detail and organisational skills A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving Understanding of transport compliance, safety requirements, and industry regulations What’s On Offer Join a respected and growing logistics business offering a stable, permanent opportunity, a supportive team environment, the chance to take ownership of a key planning function, a competitive salary package aligned with your experience, and genuine long-term career development opportunities.
