This is an opportunity to work in a modern perioperative environment supporting complex, high-acuity procedures including cardiac bypass surgery, vascular grafts, endovascular interventions, and hybrid theatre cases. About the role What we offer Hourly rate up to $57 per hour Competitive salary with penalty rates and allowances Supportive cardiac and vascular theatre team culture Access to advanced surgical technology and training pathways Ongoing professional development and perioperative education support Employer-sponsored visa pathways available for suitably qualified overseas applicants As a Scrub/Scout RN in our Cardiac & Vascular suite, you will: Scrub and/or scout across a range of cardiac and vascular procedures Support cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons during complex operations Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and theatre protocols Prepare instrumentation, implants, and advanced surgical equipment Monitor patient safety throughout perioperative phases Contribute to theatre efficiency, turnover, and clinical excellence initiatives Participate in on-call/after-hours cardiac theatre roster as required About you We are looking for a dedicated theatre nurse who brings: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Minimum 2 years' experience in perioperative nursing (cardiac and/or vascular highly desirable) Strong scrub/scout competence in complex surgical cases Experience with cardiac instrumentation, vascular sets, and hybrid theatre environments Calm, adaptable approach in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice For more information please email: ellie.seabrook@healthcareaustralia.com.au
