Lead HSE and risk activity across a major brownfield industrial project, partnering with project leaders, contractors and engineering teams. The Company This is an opportunity to join a major Australian industrial organisation delivering a large-scale brownfield capital project within a complex, high-risk operating environment. The project brings together engineering, construction, operations and specialist contractors, with a strong focus on safety leadership, risk management and disciplined project execution. The Role Reporting to the Project HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator will provide practical and systems-based HSE support across the broader project team. Responsibilities include: Support the Project HSE Manager with day-to-day HSE and risk activities Maintain and improve project HSE systems, procedures and documentation Oversee and regularly review the project risk register Conduct and coordinate project risk assessments with key stakeholders Complete audits and compliance reviews across project and construction activities Support contractor prequalification, onboarding, inductions and training Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions and close-out Monitor HSE performance, analyse trends and prepare monthly reporting Support emergency preparedness, injury management and return-to-work activities Build strong relationships across project teams, contractors and operational stakeholders Your Background In order to be successful in this role, you will: Relevant tertiary, diploma or certificate-level qualifications in WHS Significant HSE experience within major project development and execution Experience supporting large construction projects Demonstrated experience with audits, incident investigations and HSE reporting Strong contractor management and project assurance experience The ability to interpret legislation, standards and internal HSE requirements Strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing capability A practical, collaborative and adaptable approach Experience facilitating HAZOP or CHAZOP studies would be highly regarded What’s on Offer?
