An established Australian manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manufacturing Analyst to join its finance team in Melbourne. Reporting to a Senior Finance Business Partner, this role sits at the intersection of operations, commercial finance and manufacturing, providing critical insights that drive profitability, pricing decisions and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to work closely with plant leadership, sales, procurement and finance teams, becoming a trusted advisor across multiple manufacturing sites while helping shape key commercial outcomes. The Opportunity As the Commercial Manufacturing Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting site performance through robust costing, pricing, inventory management and commercial analysis. You will partner with operational leaders to understand cost drivers, improve decision-making and identify opportunities to enhance profitability and efficiency across the manufacturing network. Key Responsibilities Partner with manufacturing, operations and commercial teams to drive margin improvement and business performance Develop, maintain and enhance product costing models and standard costing processes Support pricing reviews, customer tenders and profitability analysis Deliver detailed cost, volume and margin analysis to support strategic decision-making Lead inventory control activities, stocktake analysis and working capital initiatives Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end performance reporting Conduct complex financial modelling to support operational improvement and capital investment decisions Drive continuous improvement initiatives across costing, reporting and financial controls Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple manufacturing sites and functions. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong manufacturing experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the business. You will bring: CA or CPA qualification Significant experience in manufacturing, cost accounting or commercial finance Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory management and manufacturing operations Experience with pricing methodologies, margin analysis and tender support Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills Experience working within complex, multi-site environments A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
