Working closely with the project team, clients and fellow WHS professionals, you'll lead the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance while championing industry best practice. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll provide expert advice, mentor and support WHS Advisors, contribute to investigations and risk management activities, and help shape the future of safety performance across the business. Family friendly 8/6 roster – working dayshift only FIFO, DIDO and local opportunities – paid flights from Brisbane Responsibilities Include Coordinate the implementation of key WHS strategies and activities to ensure WHS understanding and implementation across the organisation. Provide specialist advice and guidance to staff on site in relation to general health and safety matters and work closely with them to identify concerns and mitigate risks. Record and assist in the investigation of breaches, incidents, accidents and dangerous occurrences. Conduct WHS audits, including the provision of audit reports to management determining trends and recommending actions, the review of audit/non audit action requests and the maintenance of audit documentation and records. Responsible for closing findings. Keep informed of all developments in legislative requirements, industry standards and best practices in construction and ensure that these are followed at all times with a high priority to workplace health and safety. Ensure that plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions and ensure that all departmental operations meet the safety and legislative requirements. Comply with all project safety management plans. Responsible and accountable to ensure all subcontractors on site comply with their safety management plans. Promote WHS awareness through the organisation and project sites of WHS‐related activities.
