Job description Workshop Technician / Mechanical Fitter Luscombe, QLD Full Time | Permanent Position $90,000 - $98,000 Base Salary Super Our client is a globally recognised industrial engineering and technology organisation with more than 200 years of history and operations spanning 25 countries. Supporting some of the world's largest industrial companies, they are renowned for delivering innovative engineering solutions, maintenance services and specialised equipment across a broad range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join their Queensland operation based in Luscombe . The Role Working within a well-equipped workshop environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, overhaul, inspection and repair of a variety of mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring equipment is returned to service safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Maintenance and overhaul of tool sub-assemblies Compressor servicing, repairs and rebuilds Brake assembly maintenance and refurbishment Fault finding and mechanical troubleshooting Workshop testing, inspection and quality checks Completion of service documentation and maintenance records Working closely with the wider service and engineering teams About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Machinist or similar mechanical trade Experience servicing, maintaining or rebuilding compressors, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Sound computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Highly Regarded Experience The following experience will be viewed favorably: Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Compressor maintenance and overhaul Overhead crane maintenance (mechanical and/or electrical) Basic electrical qualifications or electrical fault-finding experience Industrial maintenance or heavy equipment service environments What's On Offer Permanent full-time position Competitive salary package of $90,000 - $98,000 Super Stable long-term career opportunity Modern workshop facilities Supportive team environment Opportunity to work with a respected international engineering organisation Ongoing training and career development opportunities If you are a hands-on mechanical tradesperson looking to join a global engineering business with an excellent reputation and strong growth plans, we would love to hear from you.
