What's on Offer Great pay rates with a weekly pay cycle Consistent work on a dedicated site Opportunities to transfer to different sites for variety Field-based work backed by autonomy and trust Professional and reliable team culture Accommodation and meals provided Ongoing opportunities for career development Key Responsibilities Wisely is seeking candidates who possess the following attributes: Inspect, repair, replace, and install hydraulic hoses and fittings on a range of heavy mobile equipment Diagnose hydraulic system faults and identify hose-related failures Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections Respond to breakdowns and provide efficient on-site repairs Manufacture and assemble hydraulic hose assemblies to OEM and site specifications Maintain accurate service records and job documentation Ensure all work is completed to site safety, quality, and compliance standards Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance teams, and site personnel Provide support across other company sites when operational requirements arise Key Requirements Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical field or proven experience as a Hydraulic Hose Technician or Trades Assistant working with hydraulic systems Demonstrated experience repairing, replacing, and installing hydraulic hoses and fittings Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills relating to hydraulic systems Experience working on mining, civil, construction, or heavy earthmoving equipment Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Commitment to safe work practices and site compliance standards Current Driver's Licence (HR licence desirable) Standard 11 – Surface Coal (preferred) AURTTA012 – Fabricate and Install Fluid Power Hose Assemblies (Hastings Deering CAT Ltd) highly regarded Experience working within a CAT hose room environment will be highly advantageous Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude Willingness to remain site-based with flexibility to transfer to other sites if desired About You You are reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship. Whether you're a qualified tradesperson or an experienced Trades Assistant, you have a solid background in hydraulic hose maintenance and enjoy working in a hands-on field service environment. Candidates who have completed the AURTTA012 – Fabricate and Install Fluid Power Hose Assemblies course through Hastings Deering CAT Ltd will be highly regarded, as this role supports a CAT hose room operation and requires a strong understanding of industry best practices and quality standards.
