About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Advisor to join our Finance team in South Brisbane. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll Maintain employee records including new starters, changes, and terminations Calculate leave entitlements, overtime, and allowances Process superannuation, PAYG, and other deductions accurately Advisory & Support Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner Provide guidance to managers and internal stakeholders Interpret awards and employment agreements Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, ATO, and NES requirements Prepare and submit STP reporting Assist with year-end processes and audits Team Contribution Collaborate with Finance and People & Culture teams Contribute to team initiatives and process improvements Continuous Improvement Support system enhancements and automation Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes About You Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Experience using accounting systems (Pronto highly regarded) Desirable: Experience in complex or multi-entity payroll environments Exposure to HRIS systems Knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements Background in industrial, resources, or professional services sectors What We Offer Hybrid working model Fully stocked snack bar & drinks fridge On-site barista ☕ Regular team and social events Flexible work arrangements for work/life balance Additional Requirements Full working rights in Australia Willingness to complete background checks if required Apply Now If you’re a motivated payroll professional looking to take the next step in your career with a purpose-driven organization, we’d love to hear from you.
