Social Worker – Sheltering Arms WA Pty Ltd Location: Geraldton, WA 6530, Australia Salary: AUD $95,000 - $100,000 per annum Position Overview: Our client, Sheltering Arms WA Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Social Worker to join their team. You will assess and address the social needs of individuals, families, and groups, and support them in developing the skills and accessing the resources needed to overcome challenges. This role contributes to promoting human wellbeing, social justice, and community development, while acting as a bridge between clients and essential services. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate the social needs of clients and assist them in resolving personal, social, and community challenges. • Act as a liaison between clients and community services, helping them access health, welfare, recreation, housing, employment, and other resources. • Lead and support community development initiatives, pilot projects, and research programs that align with organizational goals and client needs. • Collaborate with community organizations, social agencies, and voluntary groups to improve services and establish new programs. • Conduct interviews with individuals and families to identify issues and provide guidance, mediation, and referrals as needed. • Develop and implement social policies using practice experience, research, and negotiation to ensure fair and effective allocation of resources. • Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress and provide ongoing support. • Prepare and maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation of client interactions. Requirements: • Relevant Social Work degree or qualification; license. • Registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) • 3 years working experience • Experience in community services, disability, or health sectors preferred. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Compassionate, client-focused, and professional approach.
