Occupational Therapist – Sheltering Arms WA Pty Ltd Location: Geraldton, WA 6530, Australia Salary: AUD $95,000 - $100,000 per annum About Us: Position Overview: Our client, Sheltering Arms WA Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their team. In this role, you will help clients overcome functional limitations caused by illness, injury, or disability, enabling them to perform their daily activities and participate in work, school, and community life. Registration or licensing is required to practice in Australia. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate clients’ emotional, physical, developmental, and psychological abilities using clinical assessments and standardised tools. • Assess functional capabilities across home, school, work, and leisure environments, recommending modifications to enhance performance. • Design and implement individual and group therapy programs, incorporating vocational, recreational, remedial, social, and educational activities. • Advise families, caregivers, employers, and educators on adapting environments to support clients’ daily functioning. • Recommend and provide adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, splints, and assistive devices, to overcome functional challenges. • Collaborate with other health professionals to coordinate holistic care and case management. • Offer specialist guidance for specific client needs, including driver rehabilitation, compensation cases, and medico-legal matters. • Maintain detailed client records, track progress, and ensure all practices comply with ethical standards and legislative requirements. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy; license • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, injuries, or chronic illnesses preferred. • 3 years experience • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Compassionate, client-focused, and professional approach.
