3 to 6 contract assignment Tullamarine location Immediate start An established and growing Australian manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide critical support during a busy End of Financial Year period. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance obligations, and supporting the wider finance team through year end activities. This is a hands on role suited to a commercially minded accountant who can quickly integrate into a fast paced environment and deliver results. Key Responsibilities Lead month end and year end close processes Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Assist with statutory reporting requirements and compliance obligations Coordinate audit preparation and manage auditor requests Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules Review general ledger transactions and journal entries Analyse financial performance and investigate variances Support budgeting and forecasting activities Assist with cash flow reporting and management Ensure accuracy of fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules Review payroll, superannuation, and taxation reconciliations Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and controls Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial financial insights About You CA or CPA qualified Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise Previous experience supporting external audits and EOFY processes Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP system experience Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Manufacturing, FMCG or food production experience will be highly regarded What's on Offer Immediate start available Competitive hourly rate of $65 to $70 per hour plus superannuation Opportunity to make a genuine impact during a critical reporting period Supportive and collaborative leadership team Potential for contract extension based on business requirements If you are a capable Senior Accountant who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and delivering high quality outcomes in a dynamic business environment, we would love to hear from you.
