Our client is looking for a Sheetmetal Worker, a reliable, hardworking, trustworthy person who wants to use his/her skills to work for our company. Tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to: Study and interpret technical drawings, ductwork layouts, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, measurements, and fabrication requirements for sheet metal components. Select, verify, and prepare appropriate sheet metal materials, ensuring correct sizes, gauges, and dimensions are consistent with project requirements and technical specifications. Measure, mark out, and prepare sheet metal materials for cutting, shaping, and fabrication processes using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Cut, bend, fold, shape, and form sheet metal components to fabricate ductwork and related products according to required specifications and measurements. Assemble fabricated sheet metal components and duct sections using fastening, riveting, welding, and sealing techniques to ensure correct fit and structural integrity. Inspect completed sheet metal components to verify dimensional accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with technical drawings and industry requirements. Perform finishing work, including deburring, grinding, sanding, and surface treatment processes, to improve the durability and presentation of fabricated products. Repair, alter, and modify damaged or existing sheet metal ductwork and related components as required. Handle and position fabricated sheet metal components for fit-up and integration within commercial ventilation and ductwork systems. Skills and Qualifications Relevant qualifications At least 2 - 3 years of relevant full-time work experience. Good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Salary The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
