Hydraulic Hose Technician Employer: Hose Mart Location: Wangara, Perth WA Employment type: Full-time Ordinary hours: 38 hours per week Salary: AUD $76,515 to $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation Industry: Technicians / Trades & Services Hose Mart is an established hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings business based in Wangara, Perth WA. We are seeking a full-time Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our workshop team. The role is primarily workshop-based, with occasional on-site service work as required. The successful applicant will be responsible for hydraulic hose assembly, hydraulic fitting work, fault diagnosis, repairs, component rebuilding, customer service and general workshop duties. Key duties The successful applicant will be required to: perform hydraulic and hose assembly repairs and maintenance; manufacture hydraulic hose assemblies and fit hydraulic fittings; diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems; rebuild hydraulic components, including pumps, motors and rams; read and interpret hydraulic schematics; identify hydraulic hose types, fittings, thread types, pressure ratings and applications; use computer systems for invoicing, ordering and stock control; provide customer service and technical support to workshop customers; identify suitable products and services for customer requirements; conduct stock counts and assist with ordering hydraulic components, mechanical products and workshop supplies; maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas in a clean, safe and organised condition; and comply with workplace health and safety procedures. Required skills and experience Applicants must have: at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Hydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Hose Technician, Mechanical Technician or similar technical role; or relevant trade, mechanical engineering or hydraulic qualifications; experience working with hydraulic hoses, hydraulic fittings and/or mechanical systems; knowledge of common hydraulic thread types, including JIC, NPT and BSP; ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics; knowledge of hydraulic hose working pressures and applications; ability to diagnose hydraulic faults; experience repairing or rebuilding hydraulic components, including pumps, motors or rams; a valid driver’s licence; and ability to work safely and accurately in a workshop environment. Desirable skills The following will be highly regarded: experience in customer service or technical sales; MR driver’s licence; basic computer skills; and good communication skills.
