About the Role As a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant, you will play a key role in enriching the lives of residents by planning, supporting, and facilitating engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing. Working closely with residents, families, volunteers, and the broader care team, you will help create a vibrant and inclusive community where residents can continue to enjoy meaningful and purposeful lives. Key Responsibilities Assist with the planning and delivery of lifestyle and wellbeing programs Encourage and support resident participation in activities and events Facilitate recreational, leisure, social, cultural, and spiritual activities Provide individual emotional support and social engagement to residents Assist with community engagement and intergenerational programs Support residents living with dementia through meaningful activities Contribute to care planning and resident wellbeing assessments Maintain accurate activity records and documentation Work collaboratively with care staff, families, and volunteers About You You are a positive, energetic, and caring individual who enjoys building relationships and making a genuine difference in the lives of older people. You will demonstrate: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Creativity and enthusiasm in delivering engaging programs Empathy, patience, and a resident-centred approach Ability to work both independently and within a team A genuine passion for aged care and resident wellbeing Essential Requirements Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate IV or Diploma in Leisure & Health, Current Police Check Valid working rights in Australia Basic computer skills Understanding of resident-centred care principles Previous experience in residential aged care Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards Knowledge of dementia support and wellbeing programs Food Safety Certificate Why Join MACG?
