We specialise in fast and faithful hardware device repairs, accessories and customer support. Whether you need your cracked screen fixed, battery replaced, charging issue resolved, data recovered, or your laptop or MacBook checked, Fone Mate Cronulla has you covered. We are looking for skilled and knowledgeable Hardware Technician to work on full-time basis at our Cronulla store who can provide professional repair services, affordable pricing and friendly support to customers. Salary range: $70,000 -$90,000 per annum (based on your skillset and experience) Your job duties will include but not limited to Diagnosing hardware faults in computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones through detailed testing and troubleshooting techniques. Interacting with customers to understand technical issues and provide clear explanations regarding repair processes and estimated costs. Disassembling and reassembling devices as required to initiate inspection, testing, and accurate fault diagnosis. Repairing or replacing defective hardware components including screens, batteries, keyboards, charging ports, motherboards, and other damaged parts. Conducting hardware and software upgrades to improve overall device performance and usability. Installing, configuring, and testing operating systems, drivers, and other required software applications. Performing extensive quality checks on repaired devices to ensure proper performance and functionality standards are achieved. Assisting with data recovery from damaged or malfunctioning devices using specialised software and diagnostic tools. Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of hardware components, repair tools, and related materials required for daily operations. Carrying out post-repair testing and calibration to ensure repaired devices comply with industry performance standards. Keeping up to date with the latest developments, trends, and technologies in computer, mobile, and tablet hardware repairs. The successful candidate must have the following: Relevant certification or qualification; however, substantial industry experience may substitute formal qualifications. Minimum 3 - 4 years of proven experience as a Hardware Technician, Computer Technician, Mobile Phone Technician, or in a related role. Australian work experience is highly preferred. Current technical skills across major brands of computers, laptops, tablets, and smart phones. Chip level repair experience preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Good technical knowledge and hands-on experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge to deploy (install, configure, and test), maintain, and repair hardware devices and peripherals. Excellent in communication and customer service Good time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities You have full-time work rights and are available to work on weekends as well.
